HTV stands for 'Heat Transfer Vinyl' which is a printing is a process that allows you to transfer your design onto a shirt using heat and pressure. It is a popular printing technique because it is durable and produces a high-quality image. It is also one of the more expensive printing methods.
To print your design onto a shirt, you will need to purchase HTV vinyl in either sheets or rolls, this can be done at a craft store or online. Once you have your HTV vinyl, you will need to cut out your design and adhere it to the shirt. The most popular cutting machines for home use are the Cricut and the Silhouette Cameo
Your designs are adhered to your garment by heating up the vinyl and pressing it onto the shirt using an iron or a heat press. After the vinyl has cooled, you can peel off the backing and admire your handiwork!
